Guitar Tabs From
Members of FLATPICK-L
Here are 65 tunes that were posted to the FLATPICK-L mail list. The tunes
include Bluegrass, old time, swing, and classical. I haven't edited the tabs;
they appear just as they were posted, so there is some variety in format.
I've included an explanation of how tablature works,
for those who are not familiar with it. If you like these tabs, you might
want to join the list. There is plenty of information on Rob
Bradley's FLATPICK-L page.
Click a song to see the tablature. The tablature is in ASCII format, so
you can copy it, paste it to a word processor, and print it. Be sure to use
a monospaced font, such as Monaco or Courier, at about 9 or 10 points.

I now publish a small database program, iDataTM 2.
It turns out to be ideal for storing guitar tablature in ASCII format as
it often appears on the FLATPICK-L mailing list. It's easy to find any bit
of text in iData 2, and it's user-configurable.
Here's a sample using the Mac OS X version. (An older, simpler version is
also available for Windows, as well as for Mac OS 8.6 and 9.x.)
