To deactivate all of the links in a block of selected text, select Remove Links in Selected Text in the Tools menu, or type control-command-r.

Note: Any hidden links that are removed by this method cannot be recovered, so use caution when applying this function.
However, going to a new record will automatically reactivate any identifiable links in the Freeform Text Area of that record, but will not activate hidden links that were removed using this function. ("Identifiable" links are those in formats such as http://www.idata2.com or Sales@idata2.com.)
